I totally support this rule, but what about cars with no rear seat belts. Up till a few years ago, Kancils were manufactured without any rear seat belts. My father’s car is one of it It is 7 years old. I had checked with numerous car accessory shops to enquire if I can install rear seat belts, but no luck so far.
I needed the seat belts to secure a child carseat in my dad’s car. So in the end, my dad strapped thick ropes around the child carseat and one of the car’s rear seat sections.
So, I wonder what is the ministry’s solution for all those people out there who is driving a car that is NOT manufactured with rear seat belts. Convert the car to just 2 seater??
yalar..my car old car some more..where got rear seat belt. r u going to sponsor/subsidize?

It’s high time this is implemented. For those cars without seat belts, the govt could probably offer services to have seat belts installed (hopefully) free of charge. Let’s hope they carry out this implementation.
Shooi: I don’t mind paying for the installation cost. The problem is that such service does not exist.
I wonder when it will become a reality, knowing our gomen.
