Stingy kaya butter toast

When I mention Old Town toast, most people will imagine warm toast with kaya and thick melt in your mouth slabs of butter. That’s what I expect of Old Town toast everytime.

So when I went for a drink at New World Old Town after my dinner at Mizi, I was expecting the same.

But I was terribly disappointed.

I could hardly taste the butter with my first bite. And of course, it was no surprise because all they gave was 2 thin slices of butter! Just look at how the sandwich looked like…

I just don’t know how people do business. OK, butter may not be cheap but neither is it expensive. You don’t have to be so stingy!

All I know is I won’t be ordering the kaya butter toast at New World Old Town anymore.

  6. The roti bakar in Old Town outlets everywhere are like that, I thought. You mean this one is way worse that the other branches?
