Learing to baby wear

I am so into baby wearing nowadays. Since I learnt how to put Dylan into the sling a few weeks ago, I am more determined than ever to make baby wearing works for me. Dylan is getting more comfortable in the stroller, but the problem is Bryan is getting very lazy to walk in the shopping mall.

Since he is getting too heavy for us to carry, we usually have him in the stroller and we have to carry Dylan instead. So having a sling will help, though I have yet to carry Dylan around in a sling when we go shopping. Why? Cause I seldom take D out to the mall. And the last time I took D to the mall, the sling was with my friend.

How about getting another stroller for Bryan? Err…strollers are not cheap ok. He is a big boy now and I don’t know how long his interest will last. Better don’t simply spend money.

Anyway, I realized that there are many moms interested to use the sling too, but have no idea how to use it. Honestly those pictorial step-by-step instructions to use the sling in most websites are very hard to follow. At least to me.

But I found that there are lots of very useful videos online on how to use a sling, and these are very good and easy to follow. I particularly like this Youtube video on how to bf in a sling pouch.

If you double click on the video, you will go to Youtube where you can see other similar videos at the side which I find very useful.

I also found this website which has very good videos and instructions on how to use a sling – ring sling and pouch sling. And oh, their slings are so gorgeous!

Now, I am so tempted to go fabric hunting and make my own slings…. Save money mah, everything so expensive now.

I have one which my hubby bought from Singapore but a little difficult to tie. I’m going to use it again as Darrius is getting lazy to walk!

i love slings !! dont know what i do without them !! Ashley still goes into them when we are out shopping and she wants to nap cos she prefers that to a stroller. but after she doze off, i put her back into her stroller to sleep. one of my most utilised baby purchase !!!

  4. Used it when Ethan was really young last time too, but I still think it depends on the baby - some babies don’t like it, like my boy. So if your baby is ok with it, that’s great.

  5. I bought a cheap stroller (<RM50) and never regretted it. Emily loves to sit & sleep in it while I am shopping.

  6. Yeah..everywhere now you can see a lot of mothers using sling to carry their baby. For me…I love it! I have been using sling for Brae and Shay. Most of the time, I use it when we travel…very very useful and I can carry the girl while snapping photos…hehehe.
