Now that Dylan is bigger, the rough playtime has begun. Normally I will get both boys to bed around 9-ish.
Hubb and I, we take one boy each to get ready for bed.
I am usually responsible for Bryan as he only allows me to brush his teeth thoroughly. So I will help to get his teeth brushed, wash his face with a towel and then change him into his PJ.
Hubb will give Dylan a diaper change and change him to his pjs.
Then we will spend some nice family time together before calling it a night for the boys.
With me, it is usually quiet activities with the boys. I will usually read them some books with one boy on each of my lap.
I had asked hubb countless times to read to the boys, but *sigh* he doesn’t like to read. He would rather engage in some rowdy rough plays with the boys. Now that Dylan is bigger, he is participating in these plays as well.
But then again, Dylan is still a small baby. Sometimes I really find my heart stop especially when I see Bryan climbing over Dylan, or even lying on top of Dylan.
If I have a pulse oximeter with me, I won’t be surprised that it shows that the oxygen in my blood took a dip at those moments as well. At times like these, we have to remind Bryan that Dylan is still a small baby and that he needs to be careful around him.
Whether it is quiet reading or rowdy rough play, it is a wonderful way for us to call it a night. I look forward to these wonderful moments every night.
