Whatever dreams that are left unfulfilled as when we were a child, we will try to fulfill them through our kids.
For my hubb, his childhood dream is to own remote control toys. Cars, boats, airplanes, helicopters… But he rarely got them. Why? Because when he did, he would dismantle them to find out why they can move via remote.
So now that he is an adult, he is always “bugging” me to let him buy remote control toys. Usually, I would say no, unless he would share them with Bryan, cause I am sure that Bryan would want to play with them when he sees them. Usually he won’t, cause he said Bryan would surely spoil them in no time.
But for his birthday last year. I bought him a remote control helicopter. The original Picoo 2 - the lightest in the world. He has always been very careful about the helicopter and would only play them when Bryan is not around. For the price that I have paid, the material is very flimsy. Made of thin plastic + styrofoam.
One time, he played it then kept it UNBOXED in the storeroom. Then when my father was putting away some of Bryan’s toys, he unknowingly crushed the tail boom.
Hubb was devastated of course. Haiya…how can he blame my dad. He should have kept the rc helicopter in the box.
Don’t worry la. I saw another model in Tesco, only 1/3 of the Picoo2 price. I buy that for you for your next birthday ok..
