House renovation

New housing projects are mushrooming everywhere near my house nowadays. I guess that’s inevitable since we bought our house is a “kampung” area with lots of available land. Luckily my house is up on the small hill whilst most of the development area at the foot of the hill/ near the main road. So we are relatively not impacted by the dust and noise pollution that comes with housing constructions.

Anyway, we visited some new show houses last week. These new houses were slightly bigger than my current house but cost more than 50% more, and I had bought my house only 2 years ago – fully renovated! Sheesh..the housing prices in Penang is ridiculous.

The layout is almost the same except for the sun roof at the stair case. But of course the interior looks wayyyyy nicer because of the new renovations.

Oh..how I wish I can re-renovate my house. Yeah, we do have some renovations planned for the children’s bedroom and to convert the 2nd living room into a study area for the children.

But nothing major. Oh..how I would love to replace my old tiles with some modern granite tile. I know hubb would like that too as he complained that our house flooring is too outdated. I guess we’ll have to wait until money grows on our trees before we can do that….
